Our Mission
We were founded in 2025 with the mission of helping small and mid-market funds with their portfolio valuations. We believe that these funds should be able to access institutional quality valuations at a much lower cost, so that they can focus on what really matters to them - their investments.
Our Leadership
Christian Mitchell, CA
Managing Partner
Christian is passionate about building relationships with investment funds and working with them to deliver clear and efficient valuations.
Prior to joining North Star, he worked within EY’s Financial Services Valuations practice, where he advised both large and small private credit and private equity funds on their portfolio valuations. In this role, he worked across the investment spectrum from distressed equity investments to performing senior debt, across geographies such as sub-Saharan Africa, South America, Asia, and in a wide variety of sectors including real-estate, industrials, utilities, energy, amongst others. He started his career in Deloitte’s Audit practice, where he earned his Chartered Accounting qualification, and holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Bath.
Christian has extensive international experience, having worked in the UK, Japan, India, France, and the DRC. He is comfortable working in French, Japanese, and English.
